COURSE OBJECTIVE:
This 2.4 credit, hands-on course was designed to familiarize participants with many tools for creating multimedia and web imagery. This is an "appetizer" course geared to help students assess their skills and interests. The principal idea is to "touch on" several aspects of multimedia/internet interface design and better equip students to select subsequent areas of specific interest. Students will create a simple but functioning web site for a small business of their choice.
Topics covered include: Logo & Title Design-Branding a Web Interface, Masthead Design, Primary Navigational (Tool bar) Design, Basic Web Authoring, & Creating & Web Animation. Participants will understand the underlying concepts of working with products including: Adobe Photoshop, Adobe ImageReady, Macromedia Dreamweaver, HTML Authoring & Web Animation tools. No prior computer experience is required. However, students are expected to know basic system operations, such as opening, closing and saving files.

COURSE OBJECTIVE:
This 2.4 credit, hands-on course was designed to prepare professionals to produce graphic imagery for the internet. Participants will receive 24 hands-on classroom hours and will understand the underlying concepts of image processing, photo retouching, photo compositing and more. No prior photoshop experience is required. Basic system operations, such as opening closing and saving files within the appropriate operating environment (ie: Silicon Graphics, Windows, or Macintosh) is required.
